The Final Fix

Let's cut through, finally and once and for all, the semantic drivel that is being fed the American people by right-wing apologists trying to explain away the word "fix" in the Downing Street Memo. We now have it unambiguously from British sources that the word "fix" in the memo was used precisely the way Bush fears it was used in the first place -- meaning that the evidence was being contrived, made up, juryrigged, falsified, faked, put-on, stacked, rigged, manufactured, counterfeited. In the immortal words of Monty Python, it was a "dead parrot."
