Detestable Behavior

How can we continue to stomach the actions of men like Senator Bill Frist who holds the poorest paid in our society hostage to tax breaks for billionaires? Frist is one of many Senators who supported the detestable idea that minimum wage workers cannot get a raise in the hourly wage until, and unless, millionaires and billionaires receive more tax breaks.

Of course, Frist and his other fellow misanthropic greedy-guts never mentioned that since the last raise in the minimum wage ten years ago, the Senate has seen fit to give itself several raises totalling $35,000.

How have we come to a time in America when we are led by such men?

I heard David Brooks, of the New York Times, say "Nobody but teenagers make the mimimum wage anyway."
How out of touch with reality are these people? He doesn't know about low and minimum wage workers which are adults and abound in South Texas.

About Fristy- I don't think of him as a leader- I think of him as someone who basically lied and schemed his way into position...that is not the same as being a real leader.

We are led by such men because we allow ourselves to be led by such men. The populace think the whole thing is a lottery draw! They hope like hell to be the sole winner of the 176 million dollar jackpot! Reality- Nobody wins the money and the next lottery ticket stampede begins and the next thing they (we) know is we have a whole shitload of reps not worth the damn ink they sign our savings away with!
Shame on them... Shame on our apathy!
