With Friends Like Pat Robertson, Israel Doesn't Need The Al-Aqsa Brigade

Israel has finally pulled the plug on Pat Robertson. I guess after saying that Sharon's massive stroke was divine retribution for Sharon's giving up the Gaza Strip, it was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak.

I have always wondered when Israel would give a hearty heave-ho to its fundamentalist born-again evangelical Christian "supporters" who believe that Israel must be destroyed before they can gain salvation.

I know there are all kinds of Christian supporters of Israel out there -- not to mention opponents and critics as well -- but the Christians who believe that Israel's existence is only a stepping stone to armageddon and, thus, their salvation are no real friends of Israel. Witness Robertson's words. For all his apologies since, he meant those words. He believes them. Don't doubt that.

Israel has cut it's ties with Robertson and his plans for a multi million dollar "Christian" resort and will not permit him to do any business there.
I wonder if he thinks that's "Divine retribution?"
