As a percentage of Gross National Income (GNI), the US ranks at the bottom (0.16%), only one step up from Italy (0.15%), while the UK (0.36%), France (0.42%), Portugal (0.63%), Netherlands (0.74%), Sweden (0.77%), Denmark (0.84%), Luxembourg (0.85%), and Norway (0.87%) make us look stingy.
